Here are some initial (not final) statistics, which show the Israeli war crimes against humanity, during the current Israeli genocidal war on the Gaza Strip, based on the reliable data reported by the Palestinian Ministry of Health in Gaza:

By January 21, 2025, the initial death toll of Palestinians who have been killed by the Israeli genocidal war on Gaza Strip is 58,098+.   

This includes the accounted for deaths (47,098), those who are still missing under the rubble (an estimate of at least 11,000+). 

By January 21, 2025, the documented injuries exceeded 111,438.

Since October 7, 2023, the Israeli occupation forces have launched genocidal war on the Gaza Strip, which resulted in the killing of at least 47,035 Palestinians, including 17,581 children and about 12,048 women, and the injury of more than 111,091 others, while about 11,000 are still missing under the rubble and in the streets.

By January 21, 2025, 864 Palestinians who were killed, 6,696 who were injured, and 10,950*, who were abducted by Israeli occupation forces in the West Bank, since October 7, 2023, including 310 women and 640 children (Some of the detainees have been released).

While brutal force has been used to create Zionist Israel and sustain it thus far, Zionist claims to Palestine are false. Actually, from the five thousand years of known written human history, there has been a continuous Palestinian-Canaanite presence in the Holy Land. Despite the Zionist false claims, the ancient Israelites ruled part of the land for only 85 years (during the reign of Prophets David and Solomon , peace be upon them, and Solomon's son).

 After that, the Egyptians conquered Palestine-Canaan in 925 BC, followed by Assyrians, Babylonians, Persians, Greeks, and Romans, before the Arab Muslim rule, starting from 636 AD.

By the Time Jesus, peace be upon him, started his mission, the three population groups of Canaanites, Palestinians, and Israelites were melted together in religion and language. Most of them became Christians when Constantine converted in 313 AD. Then, most of them became Muslims in the 7th and 8th centuries AD.

So, Palestinian Muslims, Christians, and Jews are the ones who have the right to claim descent from ancient Israelites, Palestinians, and Canaanites, not Zionists from other continents.

No matter what the Zionists and their supporters do, they cannot change the will of God, Who promised the Holy Land to Abraham and his descendants, basically the Palestinian Muslims and Christians.

No matter how much persecution and aggression the Zionists and their supporters inflict upon the Palestinian people, they will never be able to force them out of the Holy Land, which Allah, praise to Him, promised for them, and kept His promise ever since.

This is a necessary brief background to understand the US-Backed Zionist Israeli continuous wars against the Arab nation generally, and the Palestinian people in particular, which included the wars of 1948, 1956, 1967, 1978, 1982, the brutal crushing of the two Uprisings (1987-1993 and 2000-2004), 2009, 2012, 2014, 2021, and the current genocidal war on Gaza (Since October 7, 2023), which has culminated a blockade of Gaza since 2007. In addition, the Israeli occupation and apartheid regime launched so many covert operations, raids, and air strikes on many Arab states since 1948.

Despite ceasefire, Palestinian child killed by an Israeli sniper fire

The Israeli occupation forces shot and killed a Palestinian child in central Rafa'h in southern Gaza on Monday evening.

A video filmed by Palestinian journalist 'Hasan Sulai'h showed the moments after the child was shot.

A man is seen crawling up to the child to remove the body from the scene but is fired at by the Israeli occupation forces, forcing him to retreat from the area.

Earlier Monday, two Palestinians were martyred and four others, including children, were wounded by Israeli gunfire and due to the explosion of bombs left by the Israeli occupation army in citizens’ homes before withdrawing from the Gaza Strip.

Israeli gunfire kills one civilian west of Rafa'h city ahead of ceasefire

One civilian was killed today by the bullets of the Israeli occupation forces west of Rafa'h city, south of the Gaza Strip.

Local sources reported that the citizen Salim Abu Shubaika was killed after being shot by the occupation forces in the Tel Al-Sultan neighborhood, west of Rafa'h city.

Gaza fisherman seriously wounded in Israeli attack

A Palestinian fisherman was seriously injured on Tuesday morning when an Israeli gunboat fired a projectile at his boat off the shore of Al-Shati refugee camp in the west of Gaza City.

Such an incident reflects an Israeli intent to continue violating the ceasefire agreement, according to Palestinian officials in Gaza.

Since the deal took effect on Sunday morning, the Israeli occupation forces opened fire at many citizens in Gaza, injuring and killing a number of them.

Palestinian Civil Defense says 137 bodies found in Rafa'h since start of ceasefire

The Palestinian Civil Defense Society revealed that its crews continue to dig through the rubble of buildings destroyed by Israel’s 15-month war, looking for bodies of those killed.

Gaza’s civil defense said it has pulled 137 bodies of those killed in Israeli attacks from under rubble since the start of the ceasefire in Rafa'h alone.

An estimated 10,000 bodies are currently undiscovered under rubble across the Gaza Strip, it added.

The Palestinian Ministry of Health in the Gaza Strip announced on Monday the arrival of 122 martyrs, including 62 recovered from under the rubble, and 341 injuries in Gaza hospitals, due to the Israeli aggression on the Strip during the past 24 hours.

In a statement, on January 20, 2025, the Ministry said this has brought the death toll of the Israeli genocidal war in Gaza to 47,035 martyrs and 111,091 injured since October 7, 2023.

Three martyrs and four injuries reported in Rafa'h, due to IOFs shooting and explosions of ordnance

Two Palestinians were martyred and four others, including children, were wounded on Monday, by the Israeli occupation forces (IOFs) gunfire, and due to the explosion of bombs left by the IOFs in citizens’ homes before withdrawing the Gaza Strip.

Local sources explained that a Palestinian citizen and a child were shot dead by the IOFs in the city of Rafa'h, in the southern Gaza Strip, while a third was martyred as a result of an explosion of an explosive body of the remnants of the Israeli occupation, east of the city of Rafa'h.

Medical sources at the European Hospital in Khan Younus reported that four citizens arrived from Rafa'h, in southern Gaza, to the hospital’s emergency ward after they were injured by shrapnel and IOFs bullets.

Local sources said an Israeli Quadcopter threw a bomb on citizens in Rafa'h while they were checking their homes, which forced them to leave during the IOFs incursion into the city.

The sources affirmed that three children were wounded, as a result of tampering with dangerous Israeli occupation army remnants left inside and in the vicinity of homes and areas vacated by the IOFs after the ceasefire came into effect on Sunday, ending 15 months of genocidal war.

Two civilians injured from Israeli gunfire in Gaza despite ceasefire agreement

GAZA, January, 21, 2024 (WAFA) – 

Two citizens were injured by the occupation forces' fire in two separate operations, today in the sea of ​​Gaza City and in the Sabra neighborhood, southwest of the city.

Medical sources said  that a fisherman was seriously injured by the fire of Israeli gunboats in the sea of ​​Gaza City, while another was injured by the fire of an Israeli drone in the vicinity of the Abu Shari'a office in the Sabra neighborhood, southwest of Gaza City.

In the same context, medical sources reported that rescue teams and citizens were able to retrieve the bodies of 66 slain Palestinians  from under the rubble of destroyed homes in the south and north of the Gaza Strip yesterday.

Health data indicates that more than 137  slain Palestinians have been retrieved from the city of Rafa'h, since the ceasefire agreement came into effect the day before yesterday, Sunday.

A quiet night and renewed hope: Gazans spend their first night after the ceasefire

Amidst an atmosphere filled with anticipation and hope, the residents of the Gaza Strip spent their first night after the ceasefire took effect, following 471 days during which Israel committed all kinds of crimes.

The skies were devoid of warplanes and the sounds of bombs and missiles, replaced by a silence and calm that the residents had not experienced for many months.

Calm and safety Child Sa'eed Abu Mahadi stated that he slept deeply for the first time, feeling calm and safe, after the genocide ceased and the tanks and planes fell silent. He added that for the first time in many months, he slept in his bed happily and reassured, no longer fearing bombardment, death, or destruction.

In Khan Younus, citizen Ma'hmoud Sa'duddeen said that he slept amidst the ruins of his destroyed home after setting up a tent on it. He added that he had never felt as safe or at ease as he did that night, saying, “How could I not feel safe when I sleep in my home, even if it is a pile of rubble? I love it more than all the palaces in the world,” emphasizing that he would rebuild it brick by brick, making it more beautiful than it was before.

He continued, “It is our right to live in safety and calm, without bombardment or killing; this is the simplest right for any human being.”

Sa'duddeen appealed to the entire world to intervene in the reconstruction of the Gaza Strip, to expedite relief efforts, and to rehabilitate the infrastructure, calling for a swift recovery.

Restoring normal life With the agreement now in effect, the residents of the Gaza Strip began attempting to restore manifestations of normal life. People cautiously roamed the streets of the city, despite the destruction left by the war of genocide.

Entire families spread out, searching through the rubble for their lost belongings, while emergency and relief teams began clearing debris and opening blocked roads.

Citizen Ma'hmoud Al-Danaf affirmed that for the first time since the beginning of the genocide, he was walking in the streets of Dair El-Bala'h without any fear. He remarked, “We would go out during the war, and every moment was a moment of bombardment; we escaped death numerous times.”

Now, Palestinians in Gaza are wandering in their areas without fear, all hopeful that the cloud will completely lift and that the occupation will end over all Palestinian land.

As the early morning hours approached, markets began to open their doors, and traders returned to display their goods, despite a significant shortage of essential items. Bakeries and gas stations filled with citizens seeking to secure their needs, embarking on the path to recovery, embodying a spirit of resilience.

On the humanitarian front, local and international relief teams rushed to provide assistance to the displaced and affected individuals.

Killing, Injuring, and Abduction of Palestinians in the West Bank by Israeli Occupation Regime Forces

Eight Palestinians killed, 35 injured, in the Israeli ongoing onslaught on Jineen city and the Jineen refugee camp

JENIN, January, 21, 2024 (WAFA) –

Eight Palestinians were killed, and 35 others were injured, during the ongoing Israeli aggression in the occupied West Bank city of Jineen, according to the Palestinian Ministry of Health.

The Ministry explained in a brief statement that eight people were killed and 35 others with varying wounds were taken to Ibn Seena, 'Al-Amal, and Al-Shifa hospitals.

The toll is likely to rise as the Israeli assault takes place.

The director of Jenin Governmental Hospital, Wisam Bakr, told WAFA that among the casualties was an injury to a doctor, who was wounded near Al-Amal Hospital. His injury was reported to be minor.

Bakr stressed that a number of other injuries were transferred to the city's hospitals, but has not confirmed the number yet due to the speedy ongoing events taking place in the governorate.

WAFA correspondent said that Israeli warplanes are also taking apart in the aggression on the city of Jenin and its camp, as they stormed with a large number of military vehicles from Al-Jalama military checkpoint, shortly after special forces were discovered in Al-Jubairat neighborhood.

The same sources explained that the occupation forces are currently besieging a house in Jineen refugee camp.

According to the sources, there are reports of injuries in several areas and neighborhoods, two of which were described as serious.

The raid coincided with Israeli drones bombing an empty vehicle near Al-Zahraa School in the vicinity of Jineen refugee camp. However,no injures were reported, however. Apache helicopters fired bullets into the skies of Jenin refugee camp.

The occupation soldiers deployed snipers in Al-Hadaf neighborhood in Jenin camp, and opened heavy fire at citizens.

According to eyewitnesses, there's an injury in Al-Damj neighborhood in the Jineen refugee camp.

The occupation army announced a short while ago that it had launched an onslaught on the city of Jineen.

Since yesterday, the occupation forces have continued to install iron gates at the entrances leading to several towns and villages across the West Bank, turning it into isolated areas, restricting the movement of local residents and imposing collective punishment against them.

Three Palestinian doctors, two nurses injured from Israeli forces' bullets in Jineen city

Three Palestinian doctors and two nurses were injured by Israeli occupation forces' bullets in Jineen city on Tuesday.

The director of Khaleel Sulayman Governmental Hospital, Wisam Bakr, said that Israeli occupation army shot and injured three doctors and two nurses who were identified as, Dr. Nadir Irshaid, Dr. Khalid Zakarna, Dr. 'Abdullah Al-Zahir, nurse Mu'hammed 'Amarna, and nurse Ashraf 'Alawna.

Local sources confirmed that the occupation forces are completely besieging the camp, and that their snipers are targeting any citizen who tries to leave it.

In the same context, the occupation forces' bulldozers destroyed several streets in Jineen city and its camp.

Local sources reported that the occupation forces' bulldozers began destroying Al-Naasira (Nazareth) Street, near Al-'Hamama roundabout, in addition to the arrival of military bulldozers to the Hospitals Street.

A large number of occupation bulldozers and military vehicles stormed the city from the Al-Jalama and Salim military checkpoints, with intensive flying of warplanes in the city's sky.

Israel targets local residents and security forces during its ongoing onslaught on Jineen city and camp, says official

The official spokesman for the security forces, Brigadier General Anwar Rajab, said that the occupation forces targeted citizens and a number of members of the security forces in their ongoing onslaught on the city of Jineen and its camp, which led to a number of injuries, one of them in critical condition.

Israeli occupation forces kidnap at least 20 Palestinians, during military raids across the West Bank

RAMALLAH, January, 21, 2024 (WAFA) – 

The Israeli occupation forces kidnap at least 20 Palestinians from the West Bank since yesterday evening until Tuesday morning.

The Commission od Detainees and Ex- Detainees and the Palestinian Prisoners' Society  said that among the detainees are a journalist from Al-Khaleel (Hebron), a woman from Ramallah, in addition to siblings, former detainees, and the arrests detention operations were distributed across the governorates of Al-Khaleel (Hebron), Qalqilya, Ramallah, and Nablus.

While the occupation forces continue to carry out field investigation operations, the pace of which has recently escalated, as the occupation carried out field investigation operations yesterday in the towns of 'Azzoun and Bait Foureek for dozens of young men, accompanied by widespread abuse, attacks and threats, in addition to acts of vandalism and destruction in citizens' homes.

Dozens of Palestinians kidnaped by IOFs in a West Bank campaign

The Israeli occupation forces (IOFs) kidnapped last night and on Tuesday morning dozens of Palestinian citizens during a large-scale arrest campaign in the West Bank.

According to local sources, the IOFs stormed Bait Foureek town in eastern Nablus at dawn, raided several homes and kidnaped at least 13 citizens. The IOFs raid in Bait Foureek town is still ongoing.

Meanwhile, the IOFs tightened its military measures at checkpoints and barriers on roads around Nablus City, resulting in heavy traffic jams.

In Al-Khaleel (Hebron), the IOFs reportedly kidnaped 12 citizens from their homes during its ongoing raid in Idhna town, which started yesterday.

In Bait La'hm (Bethlehem), Israeli forces kidnapped two young citizens and stole money and jewelry during raids on homes.

In Qalqilya, the IOFs kidnapped five other citizens following raids on homes in the city, and imposed movement restrictions at its eastern entrance.

In Aree'ha (Jericho), Israeli occupation forces continued to block all the entrances of the city and prevent Palestinian citizens from leaving or entering.

Israeli soldiers also stormed 'Aqabat Jabr refugee camp in Aree'ha (Jericho) and severely beat a citizen identified as Rami Jamal during a raid on his home. He was rushed to hospital for medical assistance.

In Toulkarm, the IOFs kidnapped six citizens after ransacking their homes in the city, amid raids and movement restrictions in different areas of the province.

The IOFs also stormed on Tuesday other areas of the West Bank and intensified its military measures at the entrances of many cities and towns, including in the Ramallah and Beereh Province and in Al-Quds (occupied Jerusalem).

A number of IOFs assaults on citizens and cars reportedly happened on West Bank roads.

Total kidnapped: 38.

Israeli occupation forces tighten military measures all across West Bank roads

RAMALLAH, January 21, 2025 (WAFA) – 

The Israeli occupation forces tightened the military measures on Tuesday at most of the entrances and exits of the governorates in the occupied West Bank.

Local sources reported to WAFA that the occupation tightened its measures around Ramallah and Al-Beereh, as it closed the Beer Zait-Attara road with cement blocks, and Kafr Malik road, to vehicles heading to the cities of Jericho and Nablus, and impeded the movement into and out of the city.

The occupation army set up several military checkpoints north, northwest and east of Ramallah, where it inspected vehicles and checks people' ID cards at the Nabi Sali'h gate checkpoint northwest of the city.

They also set up a checkpoint at the gate of the village of Aboud northwest, and at the entrance to the village of 'Ain Siniya north, and impeded movement at the 'Atara al-Balad checkpoint north of the city.

The occupation continues to close the entrances and exits of Jericho, and obstructs exit from it.

Meanwhile, the occupation army tightened its military measures at Tayaseer and 'Hamra checkpoints in the Jordan Valley, and impeded the passage of vehicles through them, which created a major vehicle crisis at the checkpoints.

Since yesterday, the two checkpoints have been seeing strict and unprecedented measures, which has negatively affected the daily lives of citizens.

The occupation army also set up a military checkpoint at the entrance to Al-Manshiya, southeast of Bethlehem, and stopped vehicles, inspected them, and checked the IDs of their passengers, while hundreds of civilians waited in long lines to be allowed to pass.

The entrance to Al-Manshiya is the only exist for the villages of the southern countryside of Bethlehem to reach the city center, but the occupation forces often deliberately close it with an iron gate.

The occupation forces closed the Jaba' military checkpoint, northeast of occupied Jerusalem, in both directions, which caused a stifling traffic crisis, and attacked civilians' vehicles that tried to take rough dirt roads around the checkpoint, and attacked one of the vehicles, smashing its glass and seizing its keys.

Israeli occupation forces and illegal Israeli settlers kidnap Palestinian citizens in the West Bank

The Israeli occupation forces kidnapped on Tuesday morning four Palestinian young men, while the illegal Israeli extremist settlers kidnapped two more Palestinian citizens in the West Bank.

According to local sources, Israeli occupation forces at the eastern entrance of Al-Khadir town in southern Bait La'hm (Bethlehem) kidnapped four citizens, handcuffed and blindfolded them, and forced them to sit on the ground. There was no information if they were released later.

Meanwhile, a horde of settlers detained two citizens in eastern Salfeet, one of them was chief of the Iskaka village council Osama Dthahir, as they were checking on swaths of Palestinian land that were seized recently by settlers.

Dthahir said that settlers attacked him and his friend as they were visiting swaths of land in the area of Al-'Hawdh Al-Wa'ir, east of Iskaka village, and kidnapped them for over one hour before releasing them.

He added that the illegal Israeli settlers from the illegal Israeli settlement outpost of Nofei Nehemia bulldozed recently about 200 dunums (50 acres) of land belonging to local residents in the area in order to build a road for themselves.

He pointed out that this road would be located near Palestinian homes in the area.

Accidental Israeli occupation forces' shooting kills an illegal Israeli settler, during their attacks on West Bank villages

During the violence perpetrated by the illegal Israeli settler on Monday night, a settler was shot dead and another one was seriously injured in an accidental Israeli occupation forces' shooting in the occupied West Bank.

An Israeli security source told the Hebrew media that a border police officer opened fire at two masked settlers who attacked him with pepper spray, fearing they were Palestinians.

The incident took place during settler rampage, where buildings and vehicles were set ablaze in the villages of Jinsafut and Al-Funduq, in eastern Qalqilya. The Israeli occupation forces reportedly stormed the area to protect the settlers during their attacks.

Local sources affirmed that Israeli soldiers opened fire at local villagers as they tried to defend their property and fend off the settlers.

According to media sources, three buildings, a tractor, and a car were set on fire by the settlers in the village.

Meanwhile, local officials said that the settlers also torched three homes as well as a bulldozer, a crane, a nursery, and a carpenter shop, and carried out a stone-throwing attack on a house in an attempt to harm the family living inside it.

During the attack, one citizen sustained a minor head injury while trying to protect his home from the settler attack. Several other residents suffered from their exposure to tear gas fired by Israeli soldiers, according to WAFA news agency.

Concurrently, Israeli forces closed the road barrier at the eastern entrance of Qalqilya, resulting in severe traffic congestion.

In separate incidents, a horde of extremist Jewish settlers, under military protection, rallied on Monday night at the entrance of Burqa village and in the Tal Asur area, east of Ramallah.

According to local sources, a group of settlers escorted by Israeli forces gathered at the entrance of Burqa village and scattered nails on the road, aiming to puncture tires of Palestinian vehicles.

According to the sources, another group of settlers guarded by soldiers gathered in Tal Asur area near Kafr Malik village, which obstructed the movement of citizens in the area.

Earlier in the evening, several settlers escorted by soldiers gathered near Al-Taybah village, northeast of Ramallah, causing disruption to traffic in the area.

In southern Al-Khaleel (Hebron), settlers stormed on Monday night a Palestinian home in the Masafir Yatta area, and attacked Palestinian vehicles near Dura City.

Local sources said that settlers broke into the house of a Palestinian resident in Masafir Yatta, and walked around it before leaving. No one was reportedly hurt in the settler attack.

In a related incident, dozens of settlers damaged multiple Palestinian vehicles during stone-throwing attacks at the eastern entrance of Dura City and Al-Fawwar refugee camp in southern al-Khalil.

On Sunday evening, the illegal Israeli extremist settlers torched and damaged several Palestinian vehicles, closed roads and blocked key intersections in different areas of the West Bank.

US President, Donald Trump, rescinds order that imposes sanctions on the illegal Israeli settlers

WASHINGTON, January 20, 2025 (WAFA) –

US President Donald Trump has rescinded an executive order issued by his predecessor Joe Biden that imposed sanctions on the illegal Israeli settlers involved in violence in the West Bank, the White House announced.

Trump tonight rescinded the executive order signed by Biden in February 2024, which paved the way for the inclusion of several illegal Israeli settlers and groups accused of committing violence against Palestinians in the Israeli-occupied West Bank on US blacklists.

The new White House website stated that Trump rescinded Executive Order No. 14115 issued on February 1, 2024.

The sanctions included about 60,000 colonists who hold US citizenship, because the sanctions included a clause freezing all their assets in the United States, and the sanctions also prohibited doing business with the sanctioned entities.

UNRWA: Reconstructing Gaza Strip exceeds the agency's capabilities due to severe damage

GAZA, January, 21, 2024 (WAFA) – 

The media advisor and spokesperson for the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA), 'Adnan Abu 'Hasna, confirmed today that the reconstruction process in the Gaza Strip exceeds the agency's capabilities due to the severe damage and destruction that has befallen all aspects of life in the Strip.

He added that the agency can contribute to rehabilitating the infrastructure in the camps and returning employees to work inside them, and operating their wells.

According to the organization's official website, Abu 'Hasna said that the agency's work has doubled over the past two days after the entry of more than a thousand aid trucks, as thousands of employees are working at maximum capacity in the process of distributing food supplies.

Abu 'Hasna noted that talking about the service infrastructure in the Gaza Strip requires focusing on the basics, such as enabling municipalities to restart water and its lines and repair wells, as well as electricity companies that need wires, generators and high-voltage lines.

He further affirmed that the search for the missing, whose number exceeds thousands of bodies under the rubble, requires planning and the work of special teams with experience, especially with regard to unexploded shells, the number of which has been estimated at tens of thousands according to UN estimates.

Various initial estimates for Gaza reconstruction costs, the maximum of which amounts to $80 billion

Estimates vary regarding the costs of Gaza reconstruction after 15 months of Israeli genocidal war on the besieged enclave.

In August 2024, the Bloomberg Network quoted experts as assessing the costs of Gaza reconstruction and restoring the destroyed labor market may exceed $80 billion, along with $700 million to remove 42 million tons of rubble.

In a previous report, the World Bank and the United Nations estimated the damage to the vital infrastructure in Gaza between October 2023 and January 2024 at about $18.5 billion.

Last October, the UN indicated that the removal of 42 million tons of aggregate left by the Israeli occupation aggression may take years and cost $1.2 billion.

In April 2024, the UN pointed out that the removal of the rubble will likely take 14 years, adding that the Palestinian Ministry of Health estimated last May that there were about 10,000 bodies under the rubble.

A UN report published in 2024 shows that rebuilding destroyed houses in the Gaza Strip may continue until at least 2040, and it may take decades.

According to the UN satellite data in December, about 69% of the buildings in Gaza, more than 170,000 buildings, were destroyed or leveled to the ground.

According to UN estimates, this statistic includes a total of 245,123 individual apartments, while the United Nations Emergency Relief Office said that more than 1.8 million people in the Gaza Strip currently need an emergency shelter.

A UN and World Bank report estimated that the infrastructure damage was about $18.5 billion until the end of January 2024.

UN-analyzed satellite images show that more than half of the agricultural lands in Gaza had been damaged due to the war, while the UN Food and Agriculture Organization said last year that 15,000 heads of livestock, more than 95% of the total livestock, and about half of the sheep were killed or died since the start of the fighting.

As for institutions, Palestinian data show that the war led to the destruction of more than 200 government establishments, 136 schools, 823 mosques and three churches.

The UN Humanitarian Office report showed that many hospitals were destroyed during the aggression, with only 17 out of 36 units partially operating in January.

Last Thursday, the World Health Organization announced that rebuilding the health system in the Gaza Strip in the coming years requires $10 billion.

OCHA says 92% of Gaza homes 'destroyed due to Israeli aggression'

NEW YORK, January 20, 2025 (WAFA) – 

The United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA) said on Monday that 92% of homes in the Gaza Strip, or about 436,000 homes, were destroyed or damaged as a result of the Israeli aggression, while 90% of Palestinian civilians were displaced from their homes.

The WHO Representative in Palestine, Rick Peeperkorn, said: “The ceasefire announcement is a source of hope, but the challenge ahead is daunting.

He added that addressing the enormous needs and restoring the health system will be a complex and difficult task, given the scale and complexity of the operations and the constraints involved.

The ceasefire in the Gaza Strip came into effect yesterday at 11:15 am, after being delayed for more than two and a half hours, due to the occupation authorities’ announcement that it would not be implemented before receiving the list of female prisoners scheduled for release.

Since October 7, 2023, the occupation forces have launched an aggression on the Gaza Strip, which resulted in the killing of at least 47,035 Palestinians, including 17,581 children and about 12,048 women, and the injury of more than 111,091 others, while about 11,000 are still missing under the rubble and in the streets.
